Description

Range 751 Tempered Glass Enamels are mainly used for the decoration of flat glass, due to their excellent chemical resistance and opacity.

Properties

Substrate:  Flat glass

Thermal expansion: 75-95x10-7/C (50-300C)

Firing Temperature:  650-720C, depending on firing speed and soaking time

Chemical Resistance:  Excellent resistance against acid and alkaline

Firing Atmosphere: Medium or low oxidative atmosphere

Average Opacity: Up to complete hiding, depending upon weight of application.

The colours have been developed and tested for the following application process

-indirect screen printing (decals)

-direct screen printing

-spraying

-machine banding

-brush banding

 

For screen printing, the following media, covercoat and mesh-sizes are recommended (except 157521)

Note: When applying to float glass, the Sn-side causes a different colour shade than the air side of the glass

 

Storage and shelf life

The colour powder must be stored in dry conditions. Partly used tins must be tightly sealed after use. It is recommended that colour powders are dried at 130C before pasting into oil based media.

 

Media should not be stored below 5C or above 35C. The ideal storage temperature is between 8C and 15C. Partly used tins must be tightly sealed after use. If stored as recommended, a minimum shelf life of 6 moths after production date is guaranteed.

 

Colour pastes must be stored in dry and cool conditions. The storage temperatures should not be below 5C and not exceed 35C. Before printing, pastes must be stirred thoroughly. Partly used tins must be tightly sealed after use. If stored as recommended, a minimum shelf life of 6 months after the production date is guaranteed.
